
The Minister of Energy visits the NAMC exploration site in Ghor Fifa to review progress

By the grace of God, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between NAMC and the Jordan Uranium Mining Company (JUMCO), as part of strengthening joint cooperation with a number of Uzbek and Kazakh companies, with the aim of advancing exploration activities of rare earth elements (REEs) associated with uranium ore.
The MoU was signed by Eng. Ayman Ayyash, CEO of NAMC, and Dr. Mohammad Al-Shannaq, CEO of JUMCO, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Khaled Toukan, Chairman of the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission, along with representatives from both companies.
The memorandum outlines cooperation in several key areas, including the exploration and evaluation of investment opportunities in the mining sector and attracting strategic partners and investment alliances, as well as developing the commercial and financial frameworks necessary to ensure the success of joint projects.
Commenting on the signing, Eng. Ayman Ayyash stated:
“This MoU represents a strategic step towards strengthening Jordan’s position as a regional hub for the mining industry, particularly in uranium and rare earth elements.”
For his part, Dr Mohammad Al-Shannaq emphasised:
“We are committed to developing regional and international partnerships that contribute to driving national economic growth and open new horizons for responsible and sustainable investment.”
