LFP Battery Cell Manufacturing, Qastal
Energy storage is the backbone of the clean-energy transition, and lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry has become its fastest-growing standard, valued for its safety, longevity, and cost-effectiveness. NAMC is establishing a USD 50 million facility in Qastal to manufacture LFP battery cells, bringing this critical capability into the Kingdom.
The facility positions Jordan firmly within the energy-storage value chain, supplying cells for grid, commercial, and mobility applications and reducing regional dependence on imported energy-storage products. It complements NAMC’s wider battery-materials ambitions, linking raw-material processing to finished, high-value manufacturing.
As one of NAMC’s faster-moving ventures, LFP cell manufacturing shows how the company is translating strategy into industrial reality, accelerating the regional shift to a low-carbon economy.
