Job Purpose
To lead and manage all operational and organizational activities within the office, ensuring that the company’s operations are governed by an effective control framework aligned with financial and regulatory standards. The role promotes good governance, transparency, fairness, integrity, equality, business continuity, stakeholder satisfaction, and efficient resource management.
Duties, Responsibilities, and Authorities
Strategic Responsibilities
- Develop and implement plans and mechanisms for financial control, risk management, and compliance in line with the company’s strategic objectives, with regular reviews and improvements.
- Conduct reviews and assessments to measure adherence to governance principles and risk assessment policies and procedures.
- Oversee compliance with governance frameworks and policies across all company departments.
- Provide technical advice and support to executive management in decision-making in line with laws and internal policies.
- Offer guidance on potential impacts on company activities and risks when deviations from expected results or performance occur.
- Collaborate with the Audit and Risk Committees to provide required outputs and reports.
- Escalate key enterprise risks to decision-makers, ensuring risk management activities minimize undesired risks and leverage business opportunities.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Oversee the activities and operations of the Financial Control, Risk Management, and Compliance Office.
- Monitor post-review activities related to financial transactions, accounting entries, and procurement.
- Review and track the quality of governance frameworks and their compliance with laws and regulations, reporting violations and corrective actions.
- Supervise the dissemination of governance principles and professional conduct across the company.
- Monitor and evaluate teams and committees regularly to ensure objectives are met.
- Oversee identification and assessment of key risks, providing objective opinions on the quality and accuracy of information.
- Monitor the implementation of risk management programs across the company.
- Supervise risk management awareness workshops and training sessions.
- Manage and allocate resources necessary to implement risk management and mitigation plans.
- Oversee execution of approved mitigation strategies and plans from the Audit and Risk Committees, with periodic reporting.
- Ensure systematic and effective application of risk management policies and procedures.
- Design and implement a corporate risk management framework aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Develop risk management policies and procedures tailored to the company’s environment and operations.
- Integrate compliance obligations into company policies and procedures and train relevant staff.
- Collaborate with HR to promote professional conduct and compliance with laws.
- Supervise advisory services related to governance, risk management, and compliance.
Operational Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on post-financial review results and recommendations.
- Participate in investigation committees for non-compliance cases as directed by management.
- Manage compliance with all laws, internal regulations, codes of conduct, and approved policies.
- Review and provide opinions on acceptable risk standards and levels.
- Review the company’s risk register and provide input before approval by relevant committees.
- Provide technical advice on the application of risk management frameworks and the development of best practices.
- Guide employees in unifying language, frameworks, and reporting methods for risk results.
- Manage and implement delegation of authority procedures and associated risk controls.
- Review delegation methodologies, roles, and responsibilities in coordination with organizational units.
- Prepare periodic reports and submit them to the CEO.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the direct supervisor within the scope of responsibilities.

Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in auditing and financial control.
Certifications
Training certifications in financial control.
Professional certifications in internal auditing such as CIA.
