The National Arab Mining Company and Downstream Industries (NAMC) is advancing a copper exploration project in Ghor Fifa. The project aims to conduct a detailed assessment of the mineral resources and develop future plans in accordance with international best practices.

Preliminary drilling and exploration works in Ghor Fifa

Based on the initial results of chemical analyses conducted on surface samples at AGRETEST global laboratories and the reports provided by the geological consultant MINEXPERTS, the area has shown positive preliminary indications for copper. Consequently, an exploratory drilling programme has been designed, consisting of six test wells with depths of up to 60 metres each, strategically distributed within the memorandum of understanding area.

To implement the programme, RFP (Request for Proposal) and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) documents were prepared to attract both local and international drilling companies. The contract was awarded to Masbar Jordan Drilling Company at a value of 62,000 JOD, with drilling operations officially starting on August 8, 2025. The drilling works are expected to last approximately 30 days, taking into account weather conditions and challenging terrain. Each stage of the exploration is carried out carefully to ensure the success of subsequent phases, ultimately leading to the preparation of a pre-feasibility study with a total budget of 900,000 JOD over 12 months as a foundation for potential future bankable feasibility studies in the event of successful outcomes from this initial phase.
